Our Interest in old dolls started some years ago. In the beginning we found room for the dolls in our livingroom, but when the collection had swelled to about 200 dolls, we got the idea of starting a dolls museum. In March 1989, we opened the museum in a 150 year old farmhouse, which now contains more than 6000 dolls. The oldest doll dates from around 1865, the youngest from 1950. The dolls are made from different materials such as porcelain, tin, wood and papier maché and differ in size from (2 cm to 80 cm). Among the many rarities in the museum is a baptismal dress from 1888. Also on exhibition are old perambulators, tin cars, tin soldiers and mechanical toys.
